Liar is a thriller programme created by brothers Harry and Jack Williams, and co-produced by SundanceTV and ITV. The series stars Joanne Froggatt and Ioan Gruffudd and debuted on ITV on 11 September 2017. After the first series concluded on 16 October 2017, it was announced that the programme would be returning for a second series in 2019.

The series follows Laura Nielson and Andrew Earlham, whose initial attraction leads to a date that has far-reaching consequences for the couple and their friends and families, as secrets and lies are revealed
